Rose water is not to be confused with Rose Hydrosol. Hydrosol is clear and comes from steam distillation. Rose Water comes from rose petals that are cleaned and then steeped in water and do not have as long a shelf life.
Rose water has anti-inflammatory properties, which may help reduce acne, rosacea, eczema, dermatitis, skin redness, and psoriasis.
May Help Heal Wounds
Rose water's antibacterial and antiseptic properties may speed up your skin's healing process.
- Treat cuts, burns and scrapes caused by minor injuries.
- May help minimize dark spots and scars caused by acne and other skin issues.
May Help Reduce Wrinkles
Rose water is often found in beauty products that treat signs of aging or sun damage. Its tannin and vitamin C content work together to increase collagen production and help:
- May reduce the appearance of wrinkles.
- May temporarily plump fine lines.
- May improve elasticity and tighten sagging skin.
May Help Hydrate Your Skin
Use rose water to revitalize and moisturize your skin.
- Can support a healthy skin barrier by reducing transepidermal water loss.
- Can leave a well-nourished, glowing complexion.
- Can restore moisture in dry skin types for a brighter look.
May Help Balance Skin Oils
Rose water has been known to help control excess sebum production by balancing your skin's natural oils without dehydrating or stripping your skin (oily to dry skin types, rejoice!). Its low pH level can help in restoring normal function to the protective acidic layer on the skin's surface and may help:
- Repair damage caused by dehydration, particularly during the cold months.
- Reset your skin's pH when it's been thrown off because of harsh products.
- Prevent blackheads, whiteheads and pimples by controlling excess oil.
May Help Soothe Irritation & Redness
Because it can help heal wounds, rose water is a must-have ingredient to include in your daily routine if you have blemish-prone skin. Its vitamin C content helps:
- Calm itching and irritation caused by eczema, rosacea or psoriasis.
- Improve post-acne scars and overall complexion for brighter, more even-toned skin.
- Prevent further swelling and discomfort brought on by acne inflammation.
Brain and Metal Health
The inhalation of rose water vapors has been traditionally used as a way to improve a person’s mood. Research has shown that rose water has antidepressant and anti-anxiety properties. It is believed to induce sleep and to have a hypnotic effect similar to that of the pharmaceutical drug diazepam. Therefore, it may help with depression, grief, stress, and tension.
I love rose water! and hope you will too! I am careful to make my rose water in a clean sterile environment. I make it fresh when ordered and ship right away so it comes to you fresh as possible. (I use an all natural preservative to help preserve rose water during the summer months).
Our Rose Water comes in 4 oz clear pet plastic spray mister bottle. Pet plastic works great from Rose Water and is lighter and easier for shipping. Comes in clear bottles so you can see the water to make sure it stays clear and free from bacteria verses colored bottles that you cannot see through. Rose Water in clear pet plastic bottles do fine as long as they are stored properly. Refrigeration is required upon opening. Rose Water comes with instructions on how to use and apply. External use only. Not for consumption.
